Sourced from premium vineyards throughout South Australia, Favourite Son Shiraz grapes are cool fermented in closed static fermenters before a small portion is transferred to older French oak Barriques for 6 months maturation. The resulting wine is made in a fruit-forward, vibrant style which brilliantly showcases the diverse varietal characteristics of the Shiraz grape.
The Colour: Vibrant rich red.
On the nose; ripe mulberry, ground nutmeg, milk chocolate and a hint of aniseed. The palate displays generous bright flavours – Morello cherry, hazelnut, raspberry and darker berry fruits, all wrapped up in a medium-bodied palate, where oak and tannin are a positive part of the texture and inviting structure.
