“Viognier is shy. It likes you to notice it and think about it. This dry white, medium acidic wine smells of rose petals with a hint of bergamot (think Earl Grey tea) a lingering reminiscence of honeysuckle. On the palate is has a different feel - viscous - and it tastes of tangerine and apricot. When the need to eat arises, it is a wonderful friend to simple roasted chicken, perhaps with a touch of tarragon, gentle curries, fish and seafood, anything with apricots. The quintessential wine for a moderate existential dilemma.”
Classic review for a great white wine + my favourite grape variety!
