Farnese Edizione is classified as a Vino da Tavola or table wine; this is due to the fact that it’s made from grapes grown in Abruzzo in the north and from Puglia in the south. This is a blend of 5 grape varieties, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Primitivo, Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera.
Deep, deep ruby red bordering on opaque, the first sniff reveals aromas of black cherry, blackberries, cocoa and graphite. This is not a shy wine! On the palate it’s big, bold and robust with sweet dark black fruit, cocoa and aniseed.
