Produced by the Lawson family from a selection of vineyards located in Marlborough's Wairau Valley where relatively warm days and cool nights retain crisp acidity and vibrant flavours. Like a clever blend of ‘New School’ Zealand and ‘Old School’ Loire Valley it has the luscious tropical tastes combined with mineral notes.
A lovely bouquet of fresh gooseberries leads to a crisp palate with a long dry finish. Aromas of mango, pineapple, grapefruit, fresh herbs, bergamot with green peppers and freshly cut grass DELICIOUS!
Touch of the ‘Benny Hill’s’ with traditional German humour!
(& apologies to my sister who has to post our online content)
A blend of Spatburgunder, Cabernet Dorsa & Merlot. Fabulous cranberry, strawberry, cherry aromas and flavours.
“A crisp fun in the glass for the sunshine, not too flabby, not too much residual sugar. Before you know it the bottle is empty.” Vinum 2021
Chosen as one of “Germany’s Coolest Wines” (German Wine Institute 2020)
‘Aromas of chalk and red berries, roses and dried herbs, soft brown baking spices and toasty oak. On the palate - firm youthful textures with ripe red berry fruit flavours, medium acidity, chalky fine grained tannins. A classic example of Peg’ Bay Pinot with a youthful energy, ripe through slightly tart red berry fruit messages. A lovely wine, well made, medium+ complexity with a long finish. Drinking well now and through 2025.’
