The brand have created a mobile phone app which brings these stories to life - when a phone's camera is pointed at a bottle in the app, the character on the label becomes animated and begins to tell their story.

Jane Castings was caught and convicted for receiving stolen goods of cheese and bacon in Leicester. She trained and paid a group of teenage boys to steal the goods that she requested. The Tempranillo grapes from the estate are harvested manually and transported to the winery. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic (technical term alert!)fermentation in the barrels, striving for perfectly integrated tannins. It then finishes ageing in new American and French oak barrels for a further 9 months.

The result is a wine with a lovely rich nose bursting with blackcurrant fruit, clove, violets and white pepper. It's rich and smooth on the palate with good weight and intensity of ripe black fruit, cedar and sweet spice all wrapped up in fine, silky tannins.
